Academy FAQ
Questions worth asking before you enrol.
Suitability, format, personalised tracks, commercial terms, outcomes, and privacy — including the things we cannot promise.
Choosing a program
How do I know which pathway is right for me?
Each pathway states who it suits and who it does not, plus the prerequisite. If you are between two, speak to an advisor — a short conversation about your current level and target role settles it faster than a comparison table.
Do I need a computer science degree?
No. You do need the stated prerequisite for the pathway, which is usually working programming or data ability. The programs build on fundamentals rather than teaching them from zero.
What if I do not meet the prerequisite?
We will say so rather than enrol you into something that will not work. Where a foundations step is needed first, we will tell you what it is.
Learning experience
Is the learning live, recorded, or a mix?
Format, schedule, and time commitment are confirmed per program before you enrol. We publish those details once a cohort is confirmed rather than advertising a format we might change.
What happens if I miss a session?
The missed-session policy is set out in the program terms you receive before enrolling, so you know the answer before you commit rather than after.
What kind of feedback do I get on my project?
Your work is reviewed the way production code is reviewed: specific comments with the reasoning behind them, and a revision cycle so the feedback actually changes the work.
Personalised learning
Can I learn just one technology rather than a whole pathway?
Yes. A single-topic intensive covers one language, framework, platform, or technique properly, with a project that proves you can use it. You do not have to buy a programme to close one gap.
What if I do not know exactly what I need to learn?
Describe the role you are moving toward or the problem you keep hitting. The skills assessment exists to turn that into a specific syllabus — including telling you when the thing you asked for is not the thing you actually need.
Can you teach my team rather than an individual?
Yes. The same teaching is delivered privately to a group and shaped around the systems that team actually works on.
Do you teach beginners?
The pathways assume working programming ability. If you are starting from zero we will say so rather than enrol you into something that will not work, and point you at what to cover first.
Commercial
What does a program cost?
Pricing is confirmed per program, including what is and is not included and the payment terms. We publish a price once those details are final rather than advertising a figure that changes at the point of sale.
Can I cancel or get a refund?
Cancellation and refund terms are provided in writing before you pay. Ask an advisor for the current terms for the program you are considering.
Outcomes
Will I get a job at the end?
No program can promise that, and you should be cautious of any that does. What the Academy provides is practical capability and a project you can defend. What you do with it is yours.
Do you have employer partnerships or introductions?
No. Academy is a teaching practice and makes no employer introductions. Studying here gives you capability and a project you can defend — it does not give you an advantage in anyone's hiring process, including Seaggle's.
Is there a certificate?
Certificate status is confirmed per program. In technical hiring, the project you can explain carries considerably more weight than a certificate, which is why the programs are built around producing one.
Privacy
What happens to my résumé and my work?
Your information is used to support your program and career preparation. Retention and deletion follow our published privacy notice, and you can request deletion by contacting us.
Are sessions recorded?
Where sessions are recorded, you are told in advance and the purpose and retention are set out in the program terms.
Please note
Completing or purchasing an Academy program does not guarantee employment, an interview, a placement, an employer introduction, a salary, or a timeline.
Completing or purchasing an Academy program does not automatically qualify a person for the Talent Network. Talent Network eligibility requires a separate, independent role-aligned assessment.

Still deciding?
An advisor will tell you honestly whether a pathway suits your current level — including when the answer is not yet.
